Staying Motivated
When temptation arises and motivation falls, we’re always going to find excuses to fall out of the Challenge. It’s only natural. So here are some practical ideas to keep you going…
- Team up with a friend or colleague to take the challenge together. Although the Party Fit Challenge is an easy plan to follow, it’ll be even easier with someone else. Why not share the responsibility for toppings each day?
- Avoid temptation. Friday lunchtimes and weekends especially. If you started on Monday morning, you’ll have worked hard all week, so giving in to temptation will just make next Monday even harder if you're back to day one again. Don't approach the weekend as a break, keep it up.
- Plan your shopping. Success will come with good planning. It's worth changing your shopping list before and during the challenge. Get a good stock of the ingredients you need and remove temptations from the fridge and kitchen cupboards.
- Reward yourself. If you carry out the whole challenge, then you deserve a reward. But avoid a big celebratory meal - you'll start to undo a lot of the good work you've achieved, and quickly. How about some new clothes for the winter season? Why not treat yourself to that new little black dress?
- Remember it's only 14 days! and we're confident you'll notice a difference that's going to help you kick start a healthier lifestyle.
The plan was developed with a top nutritionist, Wendy O’Neil and tested amongst 100 people. During the challenge, we gathered some interesting feedback from those taking part:
“My energy levels didn’t fall at all – as with other diets – they actually went through the roof!”
“Since completing the Ryvita Party Fit Plan I feel happier with my body shape and size, and feel much happier about wearing an LBD this party season.”
“An inspiring idea, much easier than trying to cal count or weigh foods. I was surprised how full up one Ryvita made me feel.”
